& Associations
If you're the Property Manager for a condo complex of more than 100+
units then you have a really, really tough job... and we sympathize with how
frenetic your schedule probably is. I dunno how you folks sleep at night!
(Nurses also fall into this category!). I'm just thinking about how critically
important it is that, when embarking upon a window or exterior door
project, that you choose the right outfit to perform a quality installation. It
seems like, if problems were to arise, that they could easily become
magnified by 100X (or more, depending upon the number of units you
oversee).

And if you are an actual resident Condo Owner within a larger association:
you have to steadily make sure your management company isn't totally nuts
by contracting with a couple of carpetbagger Schmoe's who've come up
from Florida looking for work! (That's an intentional jab: you know who
you are!).  

So what we typically recommend is that, regardless of which category you
fall into, that you offer people numerous standard choices that allow for
personal flexibility beyond a certain point. For instance, you could say,
"Here are the three window types we've pre-approved" or "Just make sure
that they are (this) size and exterior white casements: whatever else you
wanna do is up to you." And, if necessary, we will hold as many
"Enrollment meetings" or one-on-one consultations as necessary to ensure
that everyone feels comfortable and excited about their program. This can
be a really fabulous neighborhood enhancing experience.

We install all kinds of windows and doors made by numerous different
manufacturers so we don't really care which Brand label you decide upon
(probably will be budget or assessment driven) but an installation company
that understands and represents the best interests of the Association in
front of the individual unit owners has to be paramount. The only thing
that we really care about is leaving a lasting, positive, high quality experience
behind so that everybody wins:

-The Property Management Company looks like a hero for using us  
-The Condo Owners are thrilled with economy of scale buying power and a
fantastic installation resource that's better than what their single family
home counterparts may enjoy
-And we win monster referrals for a great job done.

Now what could be better than that?!!
