During the Housing Boom of the mid-2000s we concentrated on the specialty of:
Windows, Doors, Entryways, & Leaded Art Glass because it was a niche need that
many other General Contractors simply didn't want to:
a). Bother with
b). Waste time with (or)
c). Have the depth of human resource skills to perform
(Windows and Doors, after all, can be quite "finicky").
Before that though: we were the "Real Deal": Specialty Contractors performing in a
myriad of strange and bizarre roles. And here we are: Full Circle: back to our roots!
The Great Recession has forced a sensitivity to:
-Projects that are smaller in scale and can be "household budget absorbed"
-Projects that yield a greater Return on Investment including Energy Efficiency
-Projects results that have longer life cycles and can endure greater "stress"
-Projects that are more "fun" and "personalized" with style/panache
-Hiring the right firm
-Not hiring the "Big Box" contractors
-More "relationship-based" consultative idea sharing, not "One-Night Close" guys
We're like a really fantastic restarurant that serves "delicious steak". Just so happens,
we also serve delicious: desserts, salads, and cocktils. So sure: we'll always be
"Windows & Doors"... it's just that we happen to also have a lot of really cool
